I have a sticky king pin. I have my motor disassembled completely and am now ready to pull the king pin. My question is how the heck do I get it pulled? Does it need to come out of the top or down towards the bottom? It really seems to be stuck and it really needs to come out. Any and all help is appreciated

On the 125 it's down and out. Hold the pin so it doesn't fall and nick itself.

You need to remove the lower front motor mount cover and the motor mount. The block needs to be removed so you can access the top of the kingpin. Then you hammer the kingpin down.

If it is really tight, it won't want to go. In any case, it is not an easy job.

It took a fair amount of hammering but I finally got the pin out. It is really corroded which explains why it took so much force to get it out. I bunged up the top of the pin so I ordered a good used one from Ebay. I plan on using emery paper to polish the pin up and grease it really good prior to reinstalling it. Hopefully this will make my steering easier.

Thanks for the help.
