rebuilt both carbs, took to lake ran great for about 2 hrs then one time we were on plane and it started to die then come alive and then die like it wasnt getting enough gas, backed off down to idle and it idles fine wait a little bit give it gas and get back up on plane and does the same thing. I can cruise at very slow speed all day but as soon as I get on plane 15 seconds later it will do the same thing. I changed the fuel bulb and line from tank to motor and same problem. I was wondering if it might be fuel pump? Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks

Sounds to me like the float in your carb are sticking cause in about 15 sec. it should drain the bulbs. You can always take a little spray bottle of gas spray straight into the carbs as its bogging down and see what that does, thats what I would try

no the bulb dosent collapse and pumping the bulb dosent do anything. I also have another problem yesterday I was going to decarb the motor so I checked the compression first (120psi on both cylinders) I went to start it to warm the motor and now it dosent do anything. It turned over fine when I checked the compression. Checked the fuse took apart the throttle box and checked the switch both good. The fuse had a little corrosion on it so today I will replace it and see what happens. Maybe thats my problem to begin with?

well she's runnin again. cleaned the corrosion out around the fuse and the connections put the shift box back together and she cranked up now I am going to decarb the motor. does that fuse effect the motor when its running or does it just kill the power to the ignition?

took it out to the lake had the same problem except that it would run a little better with the choke on I got it back to the house and took the carbs apart and found on the bottom carb the inlet valve came loose. I guess I didnt snug it down good enough. Tightened it up put the carbs back on took it back to the lake and had a great day with no problems. Next time I rebuild the carbs I will double check everything. Yee Haa!:
