1986 90 hp l6 kll switch ?

Rewiring an older Whaler with new ignition switch w/ correct color code pigtail leads and need to know which wire should be used through the normally closed kill switch. Diagram shows purple which would put power to accessories AND the starter solenoid via the yellow/red lead but there is also positive power to the same terminal as well. Little confusing..

The ignition on the '86merc needs to be grounded to kill spark. You need a kill switch that closes when tripped.The killer wire will be black/yellow
