1986 doral cavalier fuel capacity

Hello all
I am new here and just purchased a 1986 doral cavalier 26 foot. I just put in 20 gallons of gas and the gauge
moved from 1/8 to nearly 1/2 tank. Does anyone know the capacity of the fuel tank? I want to be sure the fuel
gauge is at least close!

If you can get a look below through an acces hatch or something, you may see a certification label on the tank that specifies the capacity.

Hey Larry, my last boat was a Doral Cavalier and they're not quite 26 feet, the hull is just under 22
but, anyway, fuel capacity is 61 gal./277 L

this is fact 61 gallons or 277 litres
