This may be a dumb question but here goes. I have a water leak from the base gasket under the powerhead assy. Can the whole powerhead assy be lifted off without removing any componants? (other than fuel / electrical/shift lever connections ect). Also I can find only 4 mounting bolts (both on side/to the rear) that appear to hold the whole powerhead assy. Is there more tword the front of the powerhead assy?

Yes it can. There are 6 long bolts hidden under the cowling skirt, and 4 nuts, 2 on each side under the front.
2 nuts in the rear that come off from the top.
I also find powerhead removal and installation easier with the lower unit off.

Thank you for the info. I'll look at it more when I get home.
