rebuilt carbs, new vro, new power pack, resistance in stator and charge coil ok, 12.82 volts to batteries. can I check voltage to power pack with a digital volt meter and should it read 175volts running or just cranking. doess this motor have reed valves?? or the slow circuit. If I dissconnect the main cable from the engine to the console and start it will it eliminate the warning system. anything here will help. I assume that the jets are fine in the carbs due to the fact it ran great for 2 yrs. commpression is all 105-118

First, the make and hp of the motor would help, and if it's a 2 stroke, then it has reed valves.

I think it's fuel starvation. Try doing a search on limited rpm's there's a few good threads.

Normaly checking fuel passage ways and the fuel pump for full opperation is a start.
Possibly try pumping the primer bulb while under way, and see if a gain in rpm's is evident. If so, then definately fuel starvation.

yes it has them for each carb.
mine did that, turned out to be power pack.
im hoping to get mine back to gether soon.
am trying to talk the wench into letting me park
it in the yard so i can finish it.
as is i have to drive 60 miles round trip to work on it.
and thats just due to the nazi homeowners association. but since mine has moved <1yr now>
boats are parked everywhere.
but i know with the prez living down the street it wont be ok for me.
