1986 force 50 with no spark

I have a 1986 force 50 that has no spark on the bottem coil. I heard it mite be the points or timing, if so how do I do that?

First do a compression test.
Then a spark test(just for fun)
Then switch coils around see if no spark follows the coil.
Then remove the flywheel.
Clean the points and see if that's the problem.
Timing?Probably not the problem.
