Hello I have a 1986 four winns horison with a alluminum 19 pitch 3 blade prop. I have a v8 5.7L 260 mercruiser with an alpha one drive the problems are that my prop is basicly shot dinged and dented i have a slow holeshot and top speed of 49 on gps. I pull 1 or 2 tubers most of the time and would like a prop to give me great hole shot and i dont have to go that fast. I recent just added a custom thru hull exhaust after this i have a even slowwer holeshot but now i have a top speed of 53. The question is what do i put on for a prop i know that i want a 4 blade slainless prop but dont know what pitch to get any ideas. Another problem i have is that the tach dont work so i dont know what rpm im running.

I am wondering what everyone else is running and how they perform?
And the boat is a 1987 not a 1986.

Guessing with stainless props can get very expensive. See if there is a prop shop nearby that will let you test. Still need the tach fixed, though.
