1986 Johnson 112 / 1982 Evinrude 140

I have a 1986 Johnson 112hp and the trim has gone out. I found a 1982 Evinrude 140 for sale at a good price. Are any of the parts interchangeable like the trim, lower unit, etc...????

The 112 model first came out in the 1994 model year. These engines are very similar and use many interchangeable parts. You could check out the Bombardier website factory parts lists and compare the parts between the two engines: epc.brp.com. You will find some part numbers have changed, but the parts may still be interchangeable.
