Working fine last week 50° weather. Today 32° and no water. Thermostat stuck close?
I am I am...I just did a total engine rebuild. First time and learned a lot.. I learned steel bolts in aluminum block for 35 yrs isn't cool. Broke off 10 bolts. Machine shop did all for $125.There is a wonderful opportunity to learn how the cooling system works.-----If you are willing to ;earn.
Thank Yousee basic operation and flows
If no water flow, the engine would burn itself up in minutes. The t.stat regulates input of cooling water once engine reaches appropriate running temp -- maintains optimal temp.New impeller. Had low water pressure from garden hose on rabbit ears. If water always flows..then what's the purpose of the thermostat.
