Hi everyone,

I'm very new to the Outboard Experience and was really surprised to discover a spark-plug style which I've never seen in my 30-plus years of Auto-Wrenching! My Johnson 90 has "surface gap" plugs, very interesting...I learned these are good for engines which sustain high RPM's for a sustained periods of time. My engine hits 5k, which doesn't seem all that high-revving to me.

I haven't been able to locate a boat dealer that has this style plug as a recommendation for this engine. I'm wondering if I should go back to a regular-style plug if this isn't the recommended plug. I like using iridium plugs in my motorcycle as they tend not to foul as easily, kinda wondering if this might be good for 2-strokes?

I'd love your feedback. Thank you in advance!
