Hello to all, this is what i hope to be going to be a interesting build. I wanna start with a thanks to "friscoboater" you're build has really made me want to start this boat back up and get it running.

So the project is "Black Mamba" its a 1986 Marathon Falcon 2001. I got the boat and trailer from my uncle on a new property we acquired and to say the least it needs some work. It was registered and i was told it was running at the time last year, so I put the muffs on and it starts up perfect, but the interior is in a little bit of chaos.

I am going to start in a few weeks when it gets a tad warmer up here in NY with a full gut of the inside, im moving the rear engine bay forward to create a larger sun deck, custom wake tower, rebuild floor, and sound system. Also the exterior is going to be sanded and painted black upper and lower.

As for the trailer i havent decided but im thinking a completely new one, or sanding it down re paint, new lights, adding a axle, and brakes, and new runners and winch.

So with that here are some pictures of how she sits.

For some reason I can't view any of images you've posted? Try hosting images with photobucket, or picasa-web albums, and inserting the link with the icon on the tool bar so we can view this cool project...

Re: 1986 Marathon Falcon 2001 Complete

So as we can see there is alit of work to be done. But a few questions.

When do the stringers, i glue them down using marine locktite?
Does everything have to be glasses then re glassed?
Do all boats need foam under the deck?

Has anyone custom build there windshield, if so how hard is it?

I look forward to meeting everyone and this build.

I'm sure someone will pipe in when you get to that point in the restore, by the photos you have a few things to get done before worrying about stringers or foam. A lot of disassembling that needs to be done and then a bunch of demo work too. Post up photos when you are down to the stringers and then ask again. Remember to take as many measurements as possible while you're tearing everything out and if you can pull the floor up in solid pieces, keep them for patterns for the new ones. Measurement the tops of the stringers and their locations so you have that information when you're to the point of putting them back in again. Good luck.
