Hello All,

Ok working on my new used 1986 75 hp 4 cylinder motor. I am re powering my old 65-66 16 ft Starcraft aluminum V hull.. Took the carbs off and cleaned them, New needle and seats, Engine started but bottom carb has gas coming out of that little brass tube at bottom of throat. I took apart carb again saw no dirt etc. Manual says float level at 11/16 17.46mm. Bottom of float is sloped. Took measurement at lowest point and they pretty much right on. Manual dont say. If it was the high point of float...man way off. Left it were it is because at one time motor was running for previous owner. Any way what cause that gas to come out. Float level little off still ? Thanks.

OK, I fixed it. I lowered the float height just a touch, Put back on and no leaky leak. Now I can feel comfortable ordering longer steering cable/rotary unit and longer control cables. Rebuild new interior side panels....new terminal blocks and wire it all up. Maybe I get done before fishing season is over......or it will be summer and hot here in SW Idaho.

Good job boating bro! It's awesome when the old cranium and the great folks here at iBoats come through with wisdom and boating knowledge. The best fixes are the one you find your self! Way to work the old noodle!
Be safe out there friend!
