I went to test fire my boat getting ready for a trip next week and it won't start. It will spin. I primed the bulb. It ran good a month or so ago. I took it out for a test drive after buying the boat and had a fun afternoon starting and stopping. Getting a feel of the boat. It ran good then. Fired right up. I did hear the oil injector alarm briefly as I was idleing along one time. I shut the motor off as soon as I heard that alarm. Waited a few seconds and it started up and we rode for an hour or so before we went home. Where do I start?

Check for spark. After that check for fuel. If you have both check compression. Lots of possibilities, Spark is easiest so start there.

Cheers.

Also make sure your are using the correct starting procedure.I was told to pump my choke button when starting....wrong.Took me 15 minutes to start all the time. Now I prime bulb, turn key to on,push in choke button for 5 or so seconds then start.I do this with WOT (neutral) and knock it down as soon as she kicks. When you push in choke button...listen for click in engine to let you know choke is active....good luck.

Bad gas. I flushed out the old gas in the carbs and sprayed gas oil mix in the carbs and it fired up.

Sprayed gas in carbs and it started tells me choke is not working
Or cold start procedure wrong
read aussieflash cold start procedure. Reply #3
pump bulb, turn key on (don't crank) push
key in to choke & hold 5 seconds let key out
push & hold in & crank.
