1986 Wellcraft Elite 210 XL QUESTIONS

Boat has a 350 mercrusier with alpha 1 outdrive. Tops out near 50 mph with a 19degree 3 blade prop. Any idea what the best prop is for this boat and any relatively cheap motor upgrades to do to get more hp?

Whats the WOT rpm? Whats the rated WOT rpm? If your already there or close to the max rpm your done. Thats as fast as the boat will go.

If the engine runs up to the rated max WOT rpm, then it's propped correctly. A prop with more pitch will lower RPMs and probably speed, plus you'll loose holeshot performance. A prop with less pitch will make the engine run faster up to max RPM after which it destroyes itself.

If it currently runs max RPMS at WOT and you want more performance open a post on the Props section and the prop experts can help you tweak the performance.

Else throw more horsepower and more pitch at it.
