1987 120hp evinrude & premium gas

[Cudos]

Is there any reason I can't run premium fuel in this motor? and will it run better with it. I believe the motor has 386 hrs on it. According to the hour gauge.

It will run better on lower grade fuel. High test is for higher compression motors.

Premium fuel contains additives that offer no benefit in a 2 stroke engine and could actually be bad for it.
