I have been reading threads about the 200 HP Evinrude plastic carburetor bowls warping. Mine is a 1987. The symptoms described on these threads are similar to problems I have been having. Idling problems-mostly on a warm engine after high speed operation. The engine starts great cold when choked properly and idles great on the trailer with flusher. But I have to advance the throttle lever to start the engine or keep it running when fully warm, especially after a long high speed run. This creates a problem in the marina when loading onto the trailer as the engine speed slows to a stop unless I increase throttle. I rebuilt all six carbs two years ago using OMC rebuild kits, but I didn't know to check the bowls for warping. Several others on this forum have suggested replacing the plastic bowls with metal. Does anyone know where I can get metal carb bowls for this engine?
