As seen in another thread,.. I have a new to me 87' searay 300 Sundancer,.. and Ive started the long process of restoring and updating all systems in the boat. On of my initial problems is I cannot seem to easily find neutral on the Mercruiser sticks,... previous Mercruiser Ive owned had a very definitive spot in the throttle throw for neutral,... this boat not so much,... it seems to glide right through neutral and into reverse or which ever the opposing gear may be,...is the problem in the sticks or does the lack of feel occur due to the selector switch on the throttle cable/selector mounted on the riser ??? thank you for considering my question..

The de-dent is located in the shifter, I would look into that area
