HI. I feel like an idiot..
I got the engine in pieces and did a complete rebuild on it..(rebuilt crank, new pistons, re-bore etc..
I can see where the starter solenoid should roughly go but there is no place for it... the wiring is long enought to fit close to the module but am not sure if it goes there as there are no holes with proper spaceing.. , same thing with the primer... the manuals I have, don't really show much.., the parts cat. don't show layout of the components at all except for the lower unit..
does anyone have an idea? or picture?
help is appreciated..
tks.
stan.

Looking at the starboard, or right side of the engine, the primer goes to the side of the block just behind the throttle cam that opens the carb's. On the port side, the solinoid goes just behind the the exhaust by-pass cover, and beside the head. On the primer, you will see a cradle cast right into the block. It sit's at about a 30-45 degree angle, and the solinoid is held in place by a stainless steel strap with two bolts. Hope this helps
