My newly purchased 85 HP Force 856X7A seems to have the wrong prop. According to a search the 87 uses a 13 1/4 x 17 with no thru exhaust, but It currently has a 13 1/2 x 17 thru exhaust prop. Any potential problems with this setup. Since Michigan Wheel doesn't carry the 13 1/2 or 13 1/4 in 15, 17 or 19 for the 87 85 Force what are my options.

You need to put the boat in the water and run it and see what the tack reads at WOT. That motor should run about 5500rpm at WOT.That motor doesn't have a prop assigned to it . When they design the boat and decide what motor they want to put on it then they test with different props and loads. Then they come up with the best all around prop.
Test it in the water and post your results.Jerry

I ran into the same thing with propeller sizing, a bit confusing. The prop you have is fine.
My 125 has the same type prop and is not a thru the propeller exhausht type engine. It exhaust's out the exhaust snout! I beleive your good.

One more thing you don't have to worry about thru hub exhaust.AS long as the hub diameter is the same it should work.Jerry
