That is a carb float chamber drain screw...maybe it fell out or was dropped and is in the motor cowling......poke around in there with a flashlight and try to find it....otherwise I'm sure a a Yamaha dealer can get you another one. No need to try and run the motor without the drain screw....

Yea I kind of thought that it was the drain screw. But it seems to be broken off or maybe its a different bolt.

Give us a close up. If it fell out probably happend when it was running seriously doubt it would have run right. When you hook up the gas and pump the ball hard does gas come shooting out, it should if the screw is missing.

Looks from your photo that the hex head may have broken off, leaving just the threaded plug part still in the carb....maybe unscrew it with some pliers?...

Plan to get my boat ready for the weekend, so I'll take some pictures and try pumping the bulb to see if anything gas comes out. It ran fine last time I was out.

If just the hex head broke off then the plug will still be functional....you can run it as is for now, but best get a new one and replace it so you can drain carb as needed...
