I currently have the opportunity to buy a 1987 bayliner bass stryker 14ft with same year 70 hp johnson for 1000 bucks. I'm wondering if this is a decent boat or if I shouldn't even worry. It needs the 2 floor boards for the front fishing deck as they are very weak.....main floor has no soft spots but carpet is very worn. Engine looks good but hasn't been cranked in 2 years. A good friend has the boat currently for the last 3 years. How fast should this boat run? Has anyone had any experience with this model? Has new eagle fish finder in box and stereo. 3 brand new seats. New headlights. New nav lights. 36 lb thrust bill dance trolling motor. Sits on a galvanized trailer. Has fwd livewell with aerator. Paint is really faded but no scratches really. Any ideas are appreciated.

Well that motor (in running condition) plus a galv trailer are worth more than the $1k by themselves. I'd try to get the motor running first. I'm not familiar with that hull. 80's Bayliners are known for rot so check carefully.
