its either called "idle stabilizer" or "advance" module.. its not needed and possibly cause problems with older stuff.. should have a white/red and white/black wire going to tha switch boxes.. if you decide to junk it you will need to make a short "jumper" from tha white/black to go between tha bias circuit on both tha switch boxes... idle timing will need ta be reset... do that on tha water with motor in gear with "idle timing screw only".. set to make you and tha motor happy.. don't worry 'bout timin' numbers....
