They are big for a 28 footer. However, there are some compromises. The layout is not good for fishing, has a lot of windage, and I would avoid punishing weather. If you get it, follow the advise in the review and do not overload the bridge. <br />I purchased a Chris Craft Commander 315 instead. The Mariner 28 has about the same cabin area as my 31 and probably a better layout. However, I can fit a marlin in my cockpit!
