I just bought a 1987 Celebrity 210 V Cuddy and have a few questions:

1. I am looking for replacement window trim for the windows in the hull. Any ideas where I can find these?

2. When the boat gets up on plane, I noticed that it leans to the right. I then noticed that it is tilted in that direction even when moored at the dock with no cargo. Is this typical?

3. Does anyone have any recommendations for the prop size?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: 1987 Celebrity 210 V Cuddy

chris - welcome aboard! I have a 1988 230CC with a V8 Merc 5.0/Alpha 1. What engine & drive do you have?

1) Celebrity went out of business years ago, so getting hull parts is a crap shoot. I think those windows are pretty small, so you can take them out & take them to the marine store with you to find replacements.

2) Boat should be level at dock - not enough heel (lean) to notice by eyeball. They put the battery & the helm on the starboard (right) side since the torque from the prop while on plane tends to be to port (left). Your weight & the battery weight will balance that torque to a point. Again, it should barely be enough to be noticeable. You may have water intrusion issues causing the heel - did you check the condition of the transom, floor & stringers when you bought it?

3) Prop depends on a lot of variables (look in the prop forum for similar threads - you will see guys asking the pertinent questions). Mine runs great with a 14 x 19 aluminum - but I think my boat is a bit bigger & heavier than yours.

thanks for the suggestion regarding the "lean". The boat is in farily decent shape. There are no defects or blemishes on the hull. I did not remove the carpet, but the floor feels solid.
