1987 DT115 Zuki alrm chirping/light flickering

Everything is fine but tonight while idling trough the no wake zone the red light flickered with accompanied chirping alarm (not solid whistle sound).
I took the cowling off and the heads were cool almost too cold while the motor is still idling at the docks.
The oil tank is full. What would be your first guess?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have the identical engine. You have 3 alarms: water flow, oil flow and oil level. check your oil flow sensor/filter. Sometimes that gets a clog. When it happens again, unhook the oil flow sensor, and see if the alarm stops.
