Hello every one,

I have a 1987 Evenrude model outboard motor. The model number is
E175TXCUA. I have had an intermittant problem with the tilt/trim quitting altogether, but usually it would come back pretty quick. However, Saturday it never came back. With it sitting in my driveway I can hit the tilt/trim switch and all I hear is a clicking noise in the motor. I replaced the relays but there was no joy. The clicking noise was still there every time I hit the tilt/trim switch. I am not sure where else to go from here. Any help and as detailed as possible since I have used the extent of my knowledge. I would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Damian

bumping you back up again,

have you tried a meter on the motor leads for current draw.

Have you tried releasing the manual valve and cycling it up by hand in case its an air pocket in the pump?

Seriously consider a factory service manual , they are very good.

Tex, do you have access to a DVM?

Flanders, start yourself a new thread of your own with specific question and you will get plenty of help. Jumping in on someone else's just confuses ppl.
