Here is what has been going on
I was having what I thought was fuel issues and bogging during acceleration. Had it sent in to local marina and they first did a spark and compression test. I should have tried that first I know but anyway turns out 4 of the magnets unepoxied and fell and destroyed the stator. So new magnets and new stator. Supposedly great spark on all 6 cylinders. Compression I was told was 100 on 5 and 92 or so on one cylinder.
So I get a call saying your boat is done back at the mooring running great.
*
I get down there on Saturday and sure enough boat started up great and sounded real strong. low rpm's out of the harbor and as soon as I get out of the channel boom doing the same thing it was doing before it went in to the shop. It bogs down as soon as I try and give it gas, if I punch it or try to accelerate slowly it bogs and just pretty much stalls. If someone squeezes the bulb it can get up on plane and reach proper speed.

They also told me at the marino I had a bad fuel pump which was also replaced. Vro is disabled I am pre mixing.
*
SO to add to the lovely work the marina did I did some troubleshooting saturday and here was what was going on.
*
I noticed that there is a brown wire coming off the fuel pump which is not connected (could that be for vro?)
I also checked the water seperator which was full of junk and the inline filter had a bunch of sand in it. Replaced the inline and cleaned out the water spe as best I could until I could buy a new one Sunday morning.I took bottom two carbs off and cleaned the high and low gets with air compressor and carb cleaner. I have the plastic carbs. Saturday night I go back to the boat put the carbs back on and she sounds and is running good at the mooring. Go out for a test drive basically same thing. Although a little better. SO we bypassed the water separator put an inline filter in its place and problems basically go away. Engine hesitated for a second then got right up on plane and ran pretty good.
Went back Sunday changed water separator idled real nice went out to test and same thing happening, bypass the separator with inline filter and same thing bogging down. If I run it at low rpm for a bit she will run ok and then get on it she runs good then stalls as if the bowls are filling up just enough to get it going then once the fuel is burned off it stalls.

Can anyone offer some advice please, I am having a real hard time with this one.

One other note is my brand new tach is way off reading 6000 rpm at time when I am running at 1/4 throttle and it bounces around. Could be on the wrong pulse setting but I could have sworn I set it on 6. Will look at this also this week.

Thank you so much in advance, sorry for the long thread just trying to get as much info on here as possible.
