Just purchased motor in description and have a question about the fuel inlet line. The motor has a rubber line hooked to the fuel pump inlet which is normal to me however the opposite end has a female quick disconnect coupler (Which is loose) and I don't think is right but I also have no way of knowing due to lack of experience. My 87 Force 35 has a male coupler (secured) coming out of the bottom of the powerhead case where I connect my fuel tank line to so in comparison I feel like someone has rigged the 50 up to make it work???? Anybody own one for pics I could see so I can get mine setup properly???? Thanks in advance

First time posting pics- Sorry there a little messed up :) So with my 35 force im able to take the line off my fuel tank and just clip it onto the male end attached to the motor but the new 50 I got I dont have that option so not sure if someone rigged it up or do I need to make it like my 35?

Nothing wrong with your set up for both of them.
Chrysler and then Force had this set up for the fuellines. All engines up to 35Hp had a male connector at the engine lower cowl. Then from 45Hp and up the fuelline were conneted at fuelpump and had the female connector at the end of the line. The portabletanks had then a male connector.

You can choose one of the set up that is easiest for you.

Thanks Nordin!!! I really like how my 35 is setup so do you know where I can obtain the male quick disconnect so I can put it onto the 50 without taking my 35 apart?

The original Force/ Chrysler connectors were good for a short time.
Most will start sucking air and cause problems.
I had 2 on my boat when I bought it in 88 (something to fail when out 20mi).
They were the first thing I removed and put in the trash.
The rubber inside goes when Ethanol runs through it.

If you need a connector? OMC or Yam works best.
They look the same but are different sizes.

If?? You have a built in tank?? You can just run the hose direct without fittings.
