Hi,I just bought a boat and was idleing around fishing for about an hour and the heat sensor went off. I put it in neutral and reved it up and the sensor went off.I put a new water pump repair kit in{which the old impeller looked ok} When idleing there is water coming out the 2 holes that say water flow but when i give it more throtle in gear there is no watwer coming out the 2 holes, I did use the boat after replacing the water pump and the sensor never went off.I am wondering if there should be water coming out the 2 holes when running wide open, and if so where should i look next. Thank you

Assuming you did the water pump properly, run the motor on a hose adapter or in the water for at least a few minutes w/ the cover off. If the cylinder head is cool enough to touch, the pump is likely doing it's thing and don't worry. Also, it's a good sign that the hot horn has become quiet.
