1987 forcwe 125 engine problem

when i put it on gear some times it goes but it doesnt take it to the highest speed. looks like its holding something then it just takes off and the does the same. does any one know why is that? thanks

it goes fast the slows down it self than gets faster than gets slower again

Do you have any MPH or RPM figures for the high speed and low speed it goes back and forth from?

i just have a mph guege on my boat. and i was wandering if i buy eny guges from this site would it work on my boat or it needs to be the right one that use to be on it?

Sounds like it might be a fuel delivery problem.Check the squeeze ball then check all fuel connections then the air vent for clogs or not being open.
Do a compression check and spark check then get back with the results.Jerry

hi, also clean the fuel pump , the filter in the pump may be real dirty
