I bought a 1987 165 RX Glassport that I have left in the water for two months. It has run progressively worse. 2.3 OMC Cobra. Any thought other than sell it?
unless there is something broken on the motor that is beyond repiar why not just correct what ever is makeing it run bad like a tune up or carb rebuild

its hard to advise as you give no idea what is wrong

it will never be a fast boat but it should still be fun when running right

tommays
Thanks for the reply. After some WOT at about 5500 rpm, I stopped and fueled up. Immediately afterward it was hard to start then started missing at different rpms but always over 4000. I thought it might be fuel but no one else from the dock has had a problem. Always starts when cold and runs great until the first time its shut off, then trouble starts. For the rest of the day it misses around 4500 rpm, and won't start without excessive throttle. Usually the missing will subside at about 4800 to 5200 but this weekend it did not. Has also started to stall at low rpms when hot. Now it has started to "bog down" from 1200 rpm to 3000 rpm. Any help is appreciated.
