I am looking at this boat to buy at a good price. It is in EXCELLENT shape period, much less for its age. I love Hurricane deck boats, but this particular style is not my favorite because of what I consider to be the ugly wrap around windshield.

Can this windshield be removed and the boat operated without it? Are there pros and cons either way?

Thanks for any input...

probably . . . no pros, only cons . . . wind in your face 100% of the time . . . maybe the occasional bug in your teeth, and probably more splashing in your face during rough conditions.

It's so far in front of the driver position, wrapping around the bow of the boat, that I don't see how it could affect the operator in that way, but I will keep it in mind.

Pics?

My hurricane (2002) is more of the single console design, but I can count on one hand the number of times I've put the detachable windshield up. Rarely get it out of storage, certainly don't miss it. Bugs, sun, and spray aren't a problem, that is what sunglasses are for.

I'll work on a pic... though it now seems that the guy has screwed me and sold it to someone else even though he promised me he'd hold it until today... I went and got the money this morning... oh well...
