I have a 1987 Johnson 65 HP VRO that has ran great for the past 3 years. This year it is very hard to start and when idling it is hissing/missing. When out on the lake it doesn't have the power or get up like it use to. I am suspecting the carbs got gummed over the winter but wanted to double check with the experts. I always winterize the boat as well as run all the fuel out of the carbs. I have removed the VRO pump 3 years ago and it is mixed 50:1. When I checked the plugs, 2 were real wet and 1 was dry. I plan on rebuilding the carbs this weekend but wanted to know if there is something else I am missing or can check. Until now this motor has ran flawless. Thanks in advance for your help.
