I am replacing a trim tab that appears to have been broken off at some point on the "fin" part of the tab and am wondering if an improper propeller dimension was installed on this motor and the prop broke it off.

Can anyone suggest how I can find out the original specifications for # of splines, pitch etc. on the propeller from the factory on this motor? If I purchase a new propeller I want to insure it will not break the new anode off during rotation. So the original specs would help insure I get the correct propeller. I know others might work generally for various purposes but I am not certain all that fit would clear the trim tab.

Just go to the top of the page.Put the curser over the "boat parts and accessories".
click on Propellers.Look up props for your motor. I think you will find the largest diameter is about 11"
and as pitch goes down diameter usually goes up.You also will note the spline count.
