Hello,

The waterpump housing on my 1987 60 hp has a factory "cut out" in the output, does the rubber seal between the housing and the water pipe fit on the inside of the water pump housing? the exploded view doesn't show this clearly, it also shows a Nylon washer in the housing output does the rubber seal rest on top of this nylon washer?

thanks for any feedback.

The nylon washer should not be in where the rubber water tube goes I belive. I think that the nylon washer could be for a diffrent motor as some kits will fit more that just one motor. The rubber fitting that goes in the housing should have 2 small tits on it, that goes into holes in the housing to hold in. JMO

thanks for the response, not using the nylon washer makes sense because I didn't see one when i took it apart. Would you know how far the copper pipe fits into the rubber seal does it fit right into the top of the water pump housing or is the seal more of a "joiner".

So would you say the copper pipe fits right inside the water pump outlet? mine definetly has a rubber seal/joiner I supsect the copper pipe should sleeve through the seal/joiner right into the pump housing.
