Not sure whats going on but if I try to turn on my engine. I can get it to turn over it will run for a couple seconds then it cuts out. I also get some white smoke from the exhaust. The only thing I can find wrong is the 50 amp fuse for the tilt need to e replaced and as such the tilt and trim is not working. other than that I can't see what might be causing the problem. before the tilt fuse burnt out it was running fine.

The boat is a 1987 Sea Ray Seville with a 4.3L OMC O/I V6.

thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome aboard. What caused your tilt fuse to burn out? Any sign you're getting moisture in your cylinders? Compression good?

Thanks for the responses.
The fuse burnt out the other night when I was pulling the connections off the battery. Not sure if this would do it but I pulled the positive off first.

I will check the coil today and get back to you on that one

We can close this. I was pumping to much gas into the carb at start. All good now

Had a used Ford Bronco.
The starter would turn the motor over for 2-3 seconds, so I think it's good.
The starter was original on a state owned vehicle.
It was weak. replaced and no problems.
