This boat is going for $200 or maybe less as the seller seems desperate.

?but is has no motor or out drive.

I don't need a useless hulk sitting in my yard so how hard and how expensive will it be to find a new power plant?

What kind of shape is it in?

Unfortunately a boat of that age with no powerplant can quickly turn into a 5K boat after restoring rotten stringers, floor, transom, then a 3K powerplant.

Re: 1987 Regency bowrider to buy or not?

I've only seen pics but it looks OK. I'm sure I will have to do all the things you say…and I don't mind that…but I was afraid that the motor would be a problem. I didn't want to bother to drive 75 miles to look at it if was.

I want a bow rider project boat but I REALLY would rather have an outboard. The whole inboard thing seems like more than I would like to deal with.

Just seemed like it might have been something I didn't want to pass up, but I think I will.

Thanks for your help!
