1987 Sears Gamefisher 15hp

Can someone tell me which way to face the seals for the water pump? There is a spring on each seal 1 above the pump and 1 above the lower unit, and I don't remember which way the springs are supposed to face.

Here are a couple pics with the seals on. I just want to make sure they are on correctly.

They look correct to me. I've been inside and out on mine.
