I have a 1987 18' Skeeter that has the stiffest steering you can imagine. It appears to be the cables.

Has anyone ever replaced the steering cables on one of these?
I measuerd it out to be about 11' of cable, does that sound correct?
Lastly, where would you suggest getting these cables?

Thanks for any assistanced:)

What kind of steering is it?
Mine has a grease fitting on part of it that allows you to grease the piston but mine is also hydraulic.
I would recommend looking at Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, or West Marine for a new steering setup.

If the cable isn,t damaged it maybe wortH trying to clean out the 20+ years of old grease and relube. it works for motorcycle cables ad doesn,t take that long.
