i have posted theards on this same motor in the past is the timming the same as johnny or rude does it work on the cam shaft if the fly wheel and shear key lined up is it in time? this thing has been a head ach for me but i would really like to get her straighted out. it is hard to start and keep running the only way to start it is to spray mix in the carbs.THEY have been cleaned and the primer bulb replaced and the fuel pump replaced. WHEN i spray mix in the carbs it back fires and coughs will only fun for a few seconds. COULD it be the timming

The most common causes for repeated shearing are damaged taper surface on crank or flywheel or insufficient torque on nut when installing the flywheel, Bernard.

Please repost your question about the PT&T with a title about PT&T. I deleted it because the title suggested that it was a duplicate of this one. Sorry about that.
