Hello, I have no power when I push the throttle forward, it runs but just bogs down,it idles fine. Before I rebuild the carbs I want to eliminate any electronic or linkage problems. Fuel delivery to the carbs is not the problem.
With the engine shutoff and If push the throttle forward to wot, should the magneto control lever and link rods move? or does the engine need to be running? Mine does not move.
Also the repair manual i have(seloc, I will be ordering yamaha manual when I find the cheapest place to purchase) states that when performing a static timing test I rotate the flywheel clockwise to the correct deg.(full adv.) mark on the flywheel and then set the lower adj. screw, then rotate the flywheel to the full retard deg. on the flywheel and set the upper adj. screw. But if I were to do this, the adj. screws would be set to a position that would lock the magneto lever in place?
I'm starting to think that my throttle control cable needs adjusting?
I found a yamaha manual for $79.99. Whats the lowest price range out there?
