Very simple.

Looking at the mount there is an area (top and bottom) that the rubberis a little thinner. take a drill and drill this soft rubber. drill a bunch of holes and "connect the dots". With a goo drill bit you can drill one hole and "walk" the bit from the front to the back.

Once you cut away this rubber there will be enough play to get them out easily.

Keep us informed!

these have to be the original, they are like fused to the mount cavity.
didnt know if there was a better way.
will break out the bits and give it a try.

Re: 1988 120/140 lower mounts

well after about 3hrs i finally got the "original" mounts out.
they had been in there so long that water got into the rudder corroding the aluminum to the sides and bottom of the midsec.
-
in the top corners of where the back of the mount goes have some corrosion cracks that i hope jb weld will fill in.
-
should i drill small holes at the ends of the cracks to stop them from spreading before i fill with jb weld????
-
i had hoped to be able to use the 1995 225 midsec but found it has bolt hole tabs for the lower unit
so that is out.
unless i buy a newer lower unit.
or if the tabs can be machined off ????
-
any thoughts on that?? thanx
