Re: 1988 125 force rough idle

I'm concerned over this sequence of symptoms.
Your motor ran fine before changing the impellor out, and now it runs poorly, and the fuel is only 2 weeks old....

My approach to this problem would be to inspect the fuel tank and carb bowls for condesate.
No water? Compression test and plug inspection.
My reasoning here --- more water pressure in the cooling circuit of a previously-overheated motor, could be allowing water to enter the combustion chamber.
If this motor overheated, the head gaskets, exaust port plate gaskets, or both may have warped, causing them to loose seal.
I know this is somewhat "Spock-logic", but it makes sense to me, to check those items first.
Plugs should have some signs of operation, and not "brand new looking", even after only 1 hour of run-time. If any one of them is spotlessly clean, or is clean except for minor rust, means water injestion. Ungood. A side-note:
Water in the fuel system can also steam-clean your plugs, but they would be all clean from each associated carberator (carbs serving more then one cylinder), giving those plugs a dose of water at the same time. So look for one or two conspicously-clean plugs.
