Hi everyone, I have a 1990? mercury 25hp short shaft that runs fine. I have the chance to buy a 1989 35hp with a possible bad lower unit. not sure(if its a long or short shaft) my question is, is it possible to put the 25hp lower unit (and mid section if need be) on the 35hp to make a functioning motor? thanks one that can help.
