Hello all, I just overhauled my mercruiser 4.3l engine and during reinstallation of engine am putting in an electric fuel pump. Where is the best place to mount the pump and where is best place to wire it in to for power? It looks like it should be in series with the oil pressure switch but I'm not sure I have a wiring diagram for it- just have a generic mercruiser manual (Seloc). Suggestions?

Anyone???
A little more info- I replaced the engine and the new block had no provision for mechanical fuel pump, thus, had to go to electric fuel pump. I could install another oil pressure switch, or add a relay to the "audio warning system" circuit or connect to switched accessory circuit, but what is the "industry-accepted" wiring scheme for this? I am an electrician, but don't know the "best" way here!

OK then.........I'm just going to connect the fuel pump to the plus side of the coil and be happy. The auto parts guy said the pump has auto shut-off when it builds up to pressure and senses no flow. I'll look further into that alarm circuit later...
