HI all I got a few questions on this motor regarding replacing the pump. Model: E22TX 225hp

I need to know the torque settings for the pump housing and the torque settings for bolts mounting the foot back on.

I also am confused with the o-rings. The kit came with 4, 1 thin long one, 1 thin medium, with small thick, and 1 small thin.

I put the long one around the pump housing, the medium one between the steel, and plastic house it had grooves that fit perfect. Then I put the thick small one at the bottom of the impeller. What I'm confused about is where the small thin one goes.

Anyone know where I can find the OEM service manual for this motor?

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jermey Moore

Ken Cook is the name of the company that sells the OEM manuals, Google up the name and go there to buy the manual; you will need the model #, HP and year. Good luck

I don't have the manual for your engine but hopefully one of the gurus will be able to tell you; good luck

Just for others the books says 60-84 IN lbs of torque on the pump screws. The small thin o-ring goes under the spines for the drive shaft I believe. For the lower unit bolts 3/8 37-40 ft lb and 7/16 65-70 ft lb.

Where I'm still concerned is the thick small o-ring I put under the impeller. I'm wondering if it even needs to be there, and I'm concerned it might get caught in the impeller possibly. I'm pretty sure the previous one was under the impeller, but can't remember. The book doesn't really mention the thick small O-ring. I know sometimes these kits come with extra o-rings for other models.

There are only 3 O-rings for your water pump.

You have the long one, medium one and small thin one installed properly.

There is no O-ring under the impeller.

Ok, thanks. Any clue why the kit came with it? Maybe another model that uses the same kit uses it? I also removed the small thick one from the previous installation. Maybe like me they just put it there not knowing where it goes as well I assume..
