1st : Just cleaned the carb and trying to set up the Idle, but I can screw the low speed needle in all the way, it revs up by still runs and no boging. The previous owner was trying to lower the idle using the screw stop on the cam follower? on the side(left side looking at it from the front) up by the flywheel? wonder could it be affecting the carb setup?
2nd : Is there a noticeable difference in water flow wrt the thermostat being open or closed?
Inspected the water pump and thermostat due to inconsistant water flow, it not a constant stream. At time while running on the lake it is strong and then it is much weaker(ie water is just dropping out the tell tale) and when strong it is coming out under pressure. Every thing looks like new. Water jacket is in showroom condition looking at it through the thermostat port. cleaned the tubing and pick up tube from the pump.
