My outboard does not want to run in idle or slow speed.
High speed is OK. But, in trying to start or restart, I
have to keep choking to keep it running at idle.
Can anyone tell me where the idle adjust screw is and what
is the adjustment?
Is the above the probable problem, or would there be some
other cause?
Also, where would be a good place to get an owners manual?

Part number 27 is the mixture screw. Should be about 1 to 1 1/4 counter clockwise from lightly seated. Pull the screw out and spray some WD 40 in the hole with a spray straw then put the screw back in and see if that helps. There are three very tiny holes inside the welsh plug #13 that can get plugged and can cause some idle problems. Work that first and if it continues you may have a plugged reciruilation system.

Hello,
Your information helped a lot.
It idles and runs slow OK, but now at idle, it runs too fast.
Can you advise how to adjust the idle speed? I noticed there is a large cam on the right side of the carb. It has two etched marks on the cam and two adjustable rods connecting to the cam. I did not want to change these adjustments without knowing what I am doing.
Please advise.
email answer is ok. bill4w@centurytel.net
Thanks.
