Trying to winterize my boat for the first time. I can't seem to find a similar engine in the forum. Does anyone have a how to specifically for this engine? I found 4 brass drain plugs in total. Not sure if there's more. I was just going to pull the hoses off the front pour in some antifreeze until it pours out and call it a day....can someone confirm that's all that's needed? I appreciate any help :)

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... If ya poked, 'n prodded the holes those brass plugs were in, 'n got plenty of water out of 'em,.......

Ya just got 2 more hose ends to pull, to be winterized,...... no antifreeze necessary,......

Ya gotta pull the big hose, off the circulatin' water pump, 'n either of the big hoses on the P/S cooler, found under the port side motor mount,....

Then it'll be drained, Dry,..... No chance of freeze bustin', Anything,..,..,.

One plug middle of each side of block, one on each bottom manifold. Hoses as Bondo mentioned. Make sure you probe the holes with something that can poke through rust and scale and get the water flowing past built up scale.

I drain with the engine up to temp, pull the 4 plugs, pull the lower water pump hose. I added a drain plug next to the oil cooler so I just unscrew that plug as well. Then I pull the drive, and put on a stand for the winter. that way I can check the small drain holes on it as well.
